Porto Katsiki beach is 40 kilometres south-west of the capital of Lefkada and is accessed by 80 steps descending down the cliffside. A car parking area and snack bars can be found on top of the steps.

Lefkada can be visited by car from the Greek Mainland, just 50 metres away, via a causeway and bridge. The island of Lefkada has no airport, but Preveza – Aktio Airport, on mainland Greece is a mere 20 minutes away from Lefkada Town and international charter flights operate throughout May to October from most European cities, as well as regular daily flights from Athens.
